Certain requirements must be met before enrolling in MBBS courses:

• It is required that you have passed Class 12 from a recognized board in which Physics, Chemistry, and Biology were mandatory subjects.
• A minimum of 50% marks is required for the General Category, and a minimum of 40% marks is required for the Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC).
• National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) qualification is mandatory. There is no upper age limit for NEET.
• Most institutes require at least 17 years of age as a minimum age requirement.

You must score high on the NEET exam to gain admission to your preferred medical college. There are separate cutoffs for general and reserved categories. Additionally, some medical colleges may conduct additional entrance examinations in addition to the NEET.

MBBS Fees

The MBBS course is considered one of the most expensive in the country due to its long duration and the complex nature of the subjects. The good news is that the fees for government colleges are much lower than those for private medical schools. Here is a breakdown of the annual MBBS course fees:

• Private Colleges: INR 4 Lakh – INR 25 Lakh

MBBS Subjects

The MBBS curriculum is wide and ranges from basics to clinical subjects.
