IIT Bhubaneswar is a public technical university established by the Government of India in 2008. The institute became the first among the eight new IITs with a NIRF ranking 47 in the engineering segment. IIT Bhubaneswar is located at Argul, in the Khordha district of Odisha. Admission 2024

IIT Bhubaneswar Admission 2024 will be granted through the national-level entrance scores followed by the counselling authorities. IIT Bhubaneswar’s BTech program is the most sought-after course offered in 6 different specialisations. The total seat intake for the BTech program is 353. The institute accepts JEE Advanced scores for admission to its BTech program. Campus

IIT Bhubaneswar is a prestigious institution spread over 936 Acres of land of lush greenery, with historic Barona hills as its backdrop. It is a public institution established in the city of Bhubaneswar, established on 15th August 2007.

 

Hostels- IIT Bhubaneswar features a total of 5 hostels, three are for boys (Mahanadi Hall of Residence, Brahmaputra Hall of Residence, and Rushikulya Hall of Residence) and two for girls (Subarnerekha Hall of Residence and Ganga Hall of Residence). The total housing capacity of these halls is 3250. All these hostels include dining facilities for all residents which consist of four meals a day. The hostel office is located within the hostel premises and is open for students 24*7.

 

Sports- Students of IIT Bhubaneswar are offered sports facilities for their physical and mental well-being. The institute’s campus has a well-equipped football ground, a badminton court, and a cricket pitch. The cricket ground is situated beside the boys’ hostel which includes an installed practice net. Along with this, students can also participate in other sports like Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, and Athletics like running.

 

Fests and Events- IIT Bhubaneswar hosts an annual Socio-cultural fest called Alma Fiesta which has the title of ‘Biggest Debutant Fest of India’ by the Telegraph. Alma Fiesta organizes a number of events like music, dance, dramatics, fine arts workshops, etc for a stretch of three days. Students can also participate in competitions like MUNs, quizzes, debates, fine arts, and dance-drama competitions.

 

Clubs- IIT Bhubaneswar provides an interactive forum to pursue their passion through numerous clubs like the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Club, Web and Design Society, Neuromancers, Astronomy Club, and Society of Finance, Economics, and Business. Through these clubs, students can foster their interest in fields like robotics, web development, understanding of the universe, finance, and business.
