Union Public Service Commission[UPSC]

The UPSC, or Union Public Service Commission, is a central-level body that is responsible for conducting various recruitment exams for civil servants all over India. Through the UPSC exam, the conducting body recruits candidates for all-India services such as Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), IRS, Engineering Services, CDS, and NDA.

UPSC: Apply online in 2024?

Through upsc.gov.in, candidates can apply online for all recruitment exams. It also has an OTR section on its website. The eligible candidates are required to apply for the UPSC recruitment through this OTR mode only. There are two parts to the application process for all UPSC recruitment, which are as follows:

Part - 1 UPSC Registration

Check the steps for UPSC registration below:
  1. Visit the official website of UPSC – upsc.gov.in.
  2. Go to the “Recruitment” section.
  3. Click on ‘Online Recruitment Application’.
  4. UPSC OTR page will be opened on your screen.
  5. Enter your details to get yourself registered.

Part - 2 UPSC Login

Once the process of registration is completed, the applicant gets the login credentials for their registered email ID and mobile number. The applicant has to fill in the required details on the application form. Check out the steps to submit the UPSC application form below:
  1. Enter login credentials, such as the registration ID and password, and submit
  2. The UPSC CSE application form will appear on your screen.
  3. Fill out the details to complete the UPSC CSE application form.
  4. Now, upload the scanned copies of the documents.
  5. Finally, make the payment on the application form.
  6. Check all the details and submit your UPSC application form.
  7. The applicants are required to upload scanned copies of documents such as photograph and signature, Valid photo ID card, Certificates including caste and others (if applicable), and academic qualification certificates at the time of application.

UPSC Application Fee

The fees vary depending on the category of applicant and the exam of the UPSC application. It has both an online and offline mode of examination. The applicant is required to pay the application fee online via card or Internet banking services

UPSC Result 2024

The UPSC announces the results of the UPSC Exam 2024 on its website after the completion of the exam. The result is released in PDF format on the website. The steps to check the UPSC result for 2024 are as follows:.
  1. Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC – upsc.gov.in.
  2. Step 2: Go to the “What’s New” section.
  3. Step 3: Click on the UPSC Result link for the particular exam.
  4. Step 4: The UPSC Result PDF will be opened on your screen.
  5. Step 5: Download the UPSC Result PDF.

UPSC Notification 2024

On the official website, https://upsc.gov.in/, UPSC notifications for all the recruitments are released. It has a tab called “Recruitment.” All the UPSC notifications are uploaded under the “Advertisement” section of the tab. The forms will be available on February 14, 2024, and you can apply online until March 5, 2024.

UPSC Combined Defense Services (CDS) 2024

Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officers Training Academy-these services are conducted by UPSC CDS to recruit candidates. It is conducted twice a year as CDS I and CDS II. For both cycles, separate notifications are released. Any eligible candidate can fill out the CDS I and CDS II application forms.
